The family did move here a few years ago, and they’re struggling to make life work here. As you noted, English is not their strong point. Add to the fact that both husband and wife work at the restaurant, finding someone to take care of baby is difficult. At one point, one set of grandparents was helping out (I don’t remember which set), but they were going to have to return to China. I don’t know what the situation is now. Best of luck to this couple, though…if nothing else, they know how to run a good restaurant. Sandy is great at running front of house, as you have noted, and she also helps make batches of dumplings on the day the restaurant is closed. Never a day’s rest!
